 | item: During the Vietnam War, a doctor and nurse meet and fall in love. I love this movie.It is definitely worth watching.A must see for any true romance fan.I will continue to enjoy this over and over.I do hope that it will be released on dvd.It deserves to be enjoyed by everyone for a long time. We saw this movie when it first came out. We just wanted to see it again. It was on VHS so that was different for us. But it still had the same appeal to it. Action/Romance. I won't bore you with another review.

I post this message here for my mother who is French and does not speak and understand English. She saw when She was younger "the valley of decision" at the cinema in France and read the French version of the book. In France this film is no more published! In America there is the video tape in English, for when studios will publish a dvd version of this film also in French

This "town drama" of a blue-collar America offers the patient filmgoer a rich and rewarding experience. Newman gives a brilliant performance (Oscar-nominated and winner of two critics circle awards) relying on his well-honed subtleties.
